Raleigh Jenkins
God has put this challenge in front of us to raise awareness and funds for two very important charities; A Child’s Hope and Moss Pieratt Foundation. My brothers and I are willing to put in the sweat equity that will take us from Seattle to New York. My prayer and hope is that we accomplish the financial and awareness challenges that we have.
Raleigh Jenkins is a graduate of Texas A & M University with a second degree from the University of Houston. He is a successful businessman and owner of ABC Home and Commercial Services in Houston, Texas that provides services for pest control, lawn, pool, landscaping, and heating & air conditioning to residential and commercial clients. As a second-generation pest control operator, he and his wife, Kimberli, now married 31 years, started ABC in 1986 from the ground up. He was a one-man operator – selling to servicing – and now his company employs 250 people and generates 20 million dollars in annual revenue.
He has served on several committees and boards throughout his career in the pest control industry. He served as president of the National Pest Management Association in 2010, which led him to his new passion in life – A Child’s Hope. After the earthquake hit Haiti, he did several mission trips to deal with pest issues. Even though there was an end goal, he felt his work there was not complete. With the help of family and close friends, he founded A Child’s Hope, a non-profit organization, to take in abandoned and lost children in Haiti and raise them in a loving home environment. Established in 2013, they have purchased land and built a home and several structures that now cares for the first 6 children. There is much more to do. The ultimate goal is build the community to be able to raise 300 children in a safe, loving, Christian based environment.
ABC and the Jenkins family philosophy are to give back to others. Having served the greater Houston area for the last 31 years, they have supported Habitat For Humanity, Northwest Assistance Ministries, Operation Finally Home, Kidney Foundation, Susan Komen Foundation, American Heart Association, and St. Jude’s Hospital. He is currently serving on the board of the Better Business Bureau.
Raleigh is the father of three grown children (who carried on the family tradition and graduated from the Texas A&M University) : Tiffani (married to Ben Johnson), Dylan (married to Cameo Dennes) and Vanessa. He is the grandfather to six year old, Rileigh, four year old, Landon, and 18 month old, Gray, from his eldest daughter, Tiffani.
